Editorial Guidelines

Papers and articles shall be accepted from members of academic institutions, research organizations, non-governmental organizations and independent researchers for consideration and possible publications in issues of the journal.

Guidelines to Contributors are as follows:

  1. The Journal shall be published twice a year, preferably in April and October of every year.
  2. Articles should be typewritten 1.5 line spacing on A4 paper and not more than 12 pages (with normal margin) including tables, figures and references but excluding title page and abstract. .
  3. The title should contain very informative and short title not more than two lines using Times New Roman and bold font size 12 (CAPITAL LETTERS AND BOLD).
  4. List of contributing authors with their names (surnames and first names) to be provided, including phone numbers, emails and full addresses of institutions.
  5. An article must be preceded by an abstract of not more than 250 words. It should state in a condensed form the contributions made by the article. Key words (not phrases) should be written after the abstract, and should not be more than five.
  6. Abstract should not be italised.
  7. Tables and figures should be simple and kept to the barest minimum. They should appear in the body of the work, and should precede their discussion.
  8. The referencing style should follow the American Psychological Association (APA 6th edition) format.
  9. The main text should contain the following sections (Main headings to be written in bold capital letters while sub-headings should not):

(1) Introduction (which include: Background to the Study, Research Problem and Research Objectives).

(2) Review of Related Literature:- Literature should be thematised and discussed, not blow by blow.

(3)  Methodology (Research Design, Population of the Study, Sampling and Sample size, Kinds and Sources of Data, Method of Data Collection, Method    of Data Analysis)

(4) Results and Discussion

(5) Conclusion and Recommendations

(6) References

(7) Appendix (if any)

Review Process

Two peer reviewers will review blind-copied article and send their comments and verdicts to the chief editor. The editorial board should consider for publication those articles that were recommended for publication after minor corrections have been effected. Where the verdict is to accept after major corrections, such articles will go through another round of peer review and publication may be so delayed.

All submitted articles will be subjected to plagiarism checks in order to uphold principled standards in the published articles. Authors whose articles not pass plagiarism checks will have their papers rejected and will also be banned from submitting articles to the journal for two years.
